A rare achievement
Very few organic fertilisers achieve RHP certification. Founded in 1963, RHP is the European knowledge centre for substrates and a trusted quality mark in Dutch and Belgian horticulture, monitoring growing media from raw material to delivery at the grower.

Soil life first, steady nutrition
Restoring soil life is at the heart of everything REKA does, and Vidi Funda and Vidi FunCal are built around it. Both products are made from natural plant-based and marine raw materials, supplemented with natural sources of phosphorus and potassium. Vidi FunCal also contains extra calcium for a more resilient crop. Both products activate soil life, visible as fungal growth around the granules, and promote a healthy fungal-to-bacterial balance while improving soil structure and water-holding capacity.
Even, controlled release
What sets Vidi Funda and Vidi FunCal apart from other organic alternatives on the market is how they release their nutrients. Both products release nitrogen and calcium in a regulated, gradual way throughout the entire release period, so the crop receives a continuous, stable supply of nutrients.

Proven in trials
Trials show a clear increase in microbial and fungal biomass. Multiple cultivation trials also show that mineral fertiliser input, particularly nitrate, can be significantly reduced without any loss of yield, and often with better results.

Greenhouse trial at Hoogsewetering strawberry nursery (2022), variety Malling Centenary. All treatments followed the same mineral fertigation schedule with reduced nitrate. Total weekly nitrogen and calcium input was kept equal across all treatments, so the only difference was the fertiliser or soil improver used. Compared: Osmocote + calcium granules, Vidi Funda + calcium granules, and Vidi FunCal.
What this means for growers
